During family gatherings, it’s common to find grandparents, children, grandchildren, aunts, and uncles, but great-great-grandchildren are rarely present. Well, today, we have an exceptional photo to share with you: one featuring 6 generations of women!
Let us introduce you to MaeDell, a 98-year-old American grandmother who is the maternal figure of her family and resides in a nursing home. MaeDell got married for the first time at the age of 16 and went on to have three other marriages, giving birth to 13 children, as reported by Newsner on July 5, 2023.
On the day this photo was taken, our grandmother had a very special visit! Five of her female descendants came to see her, among whom was her great-great-granddaughter, whom she immediately took into her arms.
« We kind of organized a day to get together. Grandma knew we were coming, » « She was so thrilled to see us! We spent three hours together. The baby got a little fussy, and grandma said, ‘Come here, give me that baby.’ I mean, she’s really something, » recounts Gracie Howell, MaeDell’s 58-year-old granddaughter.
« She has been through trials in her life, but she always keeps her spirits up, » « I know gathering six generations is rare, and even rarer when they’re all women. We all have that feminine power, » she proudly adds.
